Many concrete structures in industrial environments can be restored and protected using the Mainstay® Industrial Composite Liner. This system consists of a high strength restoration mortar used to smooth or restore new or deteriorated concrete. The mortar is immediately topcoated with a 100% solids epoxy coating to allow simultaneous curing of the two products, resulting in an ultra strong bond between materials. Once cured, a vinyl ester resin enhanced with glass flake reinforcement is applied to provide superior corrosion resistance to a wide variety of aggressive chemicals.

Recommended For:
The rehabilitation of concrete structures containing aggressive chemicals in industrial environments, such as:
- Trenches
- Sumps
- Floors
- Clarifiers
- Scrubbers
- Digesters
- Paper mills
- Chemical processing plants
Advantages of The Mainstay Industrial Composite Liner:
- Mainstay 714 is a vinyl ester coating that is resistant to a wide variety of chemical exposures including many strong organic and inorganic acids, solvents, alkaline chemicals, and some oxidizing agents. It is well suited for use in immersion, splash, and spill service and is enhanced with glass flakes that provide an added layer of corrosion protection against strong chemicals.
- Mainstay ML-72 Sprayable Microsilica Restoration Mortar is a high-build restoration mortar that can be applied to vertical surfaces up to 5" thick, often restoring the concrete to its original substrate thickness.
- The use of Mainstay ML-72P Mortar provides a smooth substrate suitable for the application of a corrosion barrier coating on new concrete or on concrete that has experienced mild deterioration.
- This system saves time by allowing the mortar to be immediately topcoated with epoxy while the mortar is still in its uncured state.
